I'm continuing to work on trying to "Live a Beautiful Life".

My latest venture is Toenail Color. My husband has been pleasantly surprised every two weeks. This week it's Bright Turquoise, for my pleasure just as much or more than his...

I'm thinking Pink or Green for next week....

Sigh...

I've maintained my identity as a Goddess but no longer think of life at all in terms of my husband's infidelity.

I recall that it happened.

Of course I will never forget it.

But so much else has happened in our lives that outweighs the significance of the infidelity.

Never thought that I would ever get to the point of saying this...

But here I am..here we are..

Oh, mimi, thanks for starting this thread.

As you may recall, I was never a girly-girl. Never wore makeup, didn't do my nails, dress up nice, NOTHING!!!!!!!

And now, I'm the post Mimi woman.

I started by tossing all of my sweats, worn out panties, tent dresses, etc.

I started exercising and went from size 12 to size 4. Then gave away all of my clothes and bought new ones.

I get up in the morning, shower and do my hair, put on makeup, and get ready for the day.

Don't go out of the house without looking good, even if I'm just running to the store for some milk.

My friends and family are all AMAZED. But mostly it feels good for me.

Mimi -

I get up at 5:00AM and walk about a mile. Then I walk another mile in the evening. It is amazing how much exercising helps.

Then of course, I don't buy junk food. Don't eat sugar. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables, salads.

Once the weight came off, it was amazing how fast I moved to the lower sizes. I think the hardest was from size 12 to size 10. After that, it seemed like it was every couple of weeks.

I'm 5' 8" and weigh 125.

You've really motivated me to stick to my plan, Believer. I've been wanting to start a new focus on HEALTHY EATING and starting back regularly with my exercise program.

Why can't we do it MAGICALLY? Wake up in the morning and in a flash, be a Size 4..

The last time I was THAT small was during my Infidelity Diet..

I'm still an OK size but not back down to where I wanna be..

I kid you not. One of my husband's favorite things to do is to FEED me. He likes to see me eat but doesn't want me to be fat. That DOES take some MAGIC trying to keep it in balance..sigh..

I still keep wondering does anybody care?

Yes, I'm happily married...very much so...

I can't conceive of him as having had an affair...

But he most certainly DID...

Seems so weird..

I have MISSED you Miss Mimi so much. Your impact on my life in ways that I really didn't realize. However, even though I gained back most of my weight, I don't exercise I today choose to acknowledge the successes like you taught me too and a TRUE GODDESS does.

I pretty regularly get my toes and nails done. I've worned french manicure for most of the summer, however, next payday I am going in for the ruby pumps color. SO GORGEOUS...

I bought some awesome mascara that includes a lash pumper and my eyes never looked better, maybe when I use eyeliner, but I've been working through stuff lately so I don't want my eye black. NOT a GODDESS move at all.

I've been digging hard into my causes and conditions on my weight and I'm happy to report that I'm exactly where I need to be today for G-d to heal me. It's ok to put the stick down today. I've done enough beating up. Now it's about moving forward and living each day as I can. With love, FAITH and TRUST in my heart for my G-d.

Welcome home Miss Mimi, you HAVE been missed. More than even you can realize.

{{{{{{{GODDESS MIMI}}}}}}}}}}

How you have been missed!!!!!! If not for YOU and your careful guidance, my Plan A would have been "not-so-GODDESSY"!!! The Goddess thread you had going was amazing.

And yes, I keep up with all of my GODDESS training......Mr. Not's #1 EN will ALWAYS be Physical Apperance. Now though, it is all second nature......

Good to see you, my friend.....

Ahhh.. the goddess thread. Where I learnt that trackies should only be worn in the shed, and I should drag a brush thru my hair when Flick pulls up the drive at night. His PA EN went down from #2 and sits around #4 now smile

A little "Goddess" story for you all.....

As some of you may know, I am a lunch lady. Been in the food industry for 20 yrs, and the schedule works PERFECT with young kiddo's. Anyway, I took a promotion last spring to Manager at the local High School.

In August, they have registration, where we have to work a table so parents can put money in their kids accounts, apply for free/reduce lunches, ect. Now, of course, I went in wearing my GODDESS best. Nice jeans (put some of the affair diet weight back on....10 lbs, but for the most part have kept it off....), cute top, hair all done, make-up, and of course, some nice heels to top it all off.

As the day wore on, the Principle's table was next to mine and one of the Assistant Principle's asked me, "Ms. Not....why are you so dolled up?"

My reply was, "This is how I ALWAYS look outside of work. Does that shock you?"

Looking perplexed, he said, "well, I've never seen a lunchlady look like this. I have a whole new outlook..."

crazy....Yeah, as if all lunchlady's have blue hair and large, hairy moles growing on their chin's......

There's my GODDESS learning at work ladies..... grin

Gungy fleecy pants that wash quickly, and provide freedom of movement for those of us who have to dodge umm, cow stuff.

Ha Ha, I like that Not. What with me being a "mid day supervisory assistant". I certainly can't picture any of our lunch ladies dressed like that....and let's face it I thik they'd die of shock if I turned up like that too - I'd get my heels stuck in the grass on the field.

I had a goddess dilemma this morning - I was going to go swimming in 20 mins, so I was thinking this morning whether I should put any makeup on, cos I haven't got any handy wipes to get that makeup off a bit before getting in the pool.

And then I realised that I don't have that dilemma at all, cos I've lost my blinkin' makeup bag... it's been 3 days now [Linked Image]

What's a girl to do?

Well, I'm going to go cycling instead. But where oh where could that makeup bag be?

My H likes to feed me too, he loves sweets and always wants me to 'try a little bite'.
Of course then I'm so weak, esp. with chocolate, I end up having way more than the 'little bite'. crazy

He brings more crap into this house, ugh, he's pretty good at keeping it in the basement or in his truck, at my request. lol

The Goddess transformation was of course a benefit to my H, but you know what,
it helped ME, remind myself that I was strong and capable of getting through this A mess. (most of the time anyway)

ST, for just that reason that you mentioned about losing your make up bag,
I have 2nd's of everything, even a third of some, all the same colour and brand.
Heck, I've 4 of my fave lip gloss! One for my work bag and 2 different handbags, and one in my cosmetic drawer
in the bathroom.
Never be without the lip gloss. :claps:

Watched an infomercial or whatever they are called on TV late last night.
It was selling a set of DVD's on an exercise program called Insanity.
The program pushed you physically to and past your limits, with each session.
The goals achieved after 60 days were amazing.
Looked interesting and exhausting.

hmmm .......

Wow, my H says that same exact thing: "Take a little bite". Wonder what they like about that?

My Goddess Ways are mainly for ME, though. My husband indirectly benefits. It really helped and now maintains my self-esteem.

Plus, it's LOTS of FUN..

I'm all about FUN..these days..

Well, goddesses, it looks like I finally sold my old house. I bought a new one before I sold the old one and have been really struggling - eating lots of rice and beans.

Anyway, when I get my money, the first thing I'm going to do is get a PEDICURE. I've never had one, and that is number one on my list.
