Get the sunglasses ready! ...and the cool one liners! Do I have to dye my hair that shade of red? I'm not sure that will look too hot on me. If I do, can I have Marg Helgenberger's body? Alas, I am 5'4", 145 lbs and brown hair. Not the sex pot she is, but I am a cutie As for your daughter, well, she could still find something cool to do. We all have a passion, it's just a matter of finding a good venue to express it in. Doesn't have to be literal. I enjoy solving a good mystery. Science is my favorite venue. Previously, it was process development. Taking a starting product, such as a gene sequence, and developing a method to express and purify. A cool job, never felt like 'work'. It was the people that could make the job a bummer...which I didn't suffer for very long. This job would be more literal, I suppose, but still worthy of the 'mystery title. This job would also make it a heck of a lot easier for me to find work when we decide to move. I can work myself up to a higher level, even apply for a senior criminalist position once I have a few years experience. I am already well qualified for the entry position. I qualify for the senior job with education, but not crime lab experience. I feel this one. I want this one. It seems like things just fell into place. Feels natural. I appreciate any positive thoughts, prayers or mojo y'all send my way.

I received an email that said they were reviewing my application, which, if approved, will be sent on to the hiring section. I was told this will be a lengthy process. The words "appeciate your patience" were a part of the email. Probably going to be a long while. Luckily, I have a fairly safe position now, so I can sit tight. Sounds terrible of me, but the longer I have to wait, the more the hiring pool will dwindle due to impatience and other job offers for them, which will turn things more to my favor. Sooooo....patience, Chai

So, my second round of Mammogram came back clear. Yay!
The job is going to.take a lot longer...6 months to a year, from what a senior criminalist told me. I have a job, so I can wait. It will give me some time to study up and even work on a presentation. Since I don't present on this job and have not for a very long time, that will be the most difficult part for me.
Home life and marriage is good if not great. Rafa, my stepson, seems to be maturing itty bits at a time, which is progress for him. He had been very disrespectful to his mother and sisters, calling them b*tches. Azman took him camping and hiking and had some deep conversations with him, which seemed to help Rafa to think about his actions. Work in progress.
LilD, my son, had a rough 3rd quarter in school, bit managed eke put low Bs and one A. He's made a plan for keeping his grades at Bs and higher and it seems to be working. I'm proud of him for taking responsibility for his grades. He's a good kid.
Tiger is doing well. He's decided to work out with the football team, so he will.be on JV his junior year. I'm excited to be a part of his life. The kidz have no Idea how much we love them. One day, when they have kids of their own, they may.
Teenagers sure do change the face of parenting as you know it.
