I was listening to an 'oldies' station and heard the replay of Elvis on the Ed Sullivan Show..... ok I am old enough to remember the original runs of that show. smile

There was a lot of screaming by young girls who by now must be on the top end of the middle age bracket. wink Wonder what they are doing now?!??! dunno

So out of curiosity, which concert/singer or group do you recall that just made you get out of your seat and scream..... if not a concert, which singer or group makes you just wanna......dancing, even while driving? wink

grin

I don't scream, but I was most excited about seeing Throwing Muses perform at a club in Los Angeles in April of 1989. First time I got to see them live.

Oh, boy. I'm really going to show my age here, but Orchid went first by remembering Elvis' debut on the Ed Sullivan Show (which I remember, too).

It was 1964 and the Beatles were appearing in Jacksonville, several hours from my home. My mom (bless her) drove me and a few friends in the immediate aftermath of a hurricane...washed out streets, downed power lines. All the way there we all promised each other we would NOT scream--we wanted to hear the MUSIC! But, of course, we screamed our bloody heads off. My first awareness of "mob psychology."

lol

That was the first time I ever got high, and I wasn't even smoking! I was in the highest, cheapest seats, and I guess all the smoke congregated there, lol.

Funny...I've been to a number of rock concerts, but the only time I ever smelled pot was at a Monkees reunion concert back in the late 80's. I didn't inhale for 2 hours. whistle

Now liquor, on the other hand...yeah...there was always lots of that being passed around in the crowd.

We just went to a concert by Train last week. I enjoyed the concert, and I recognized one or two of the songs, but I have to admit I had never even heard of the band prior to the concert!
