You would think that someone who is stroke deprived would be mousy, tentative, insecure...and that can happen. But it has been my observation that many who were stroke deprived become almost....narcissistic in their attempts to procure what they need. They also have a tendency to be "victims" - as in, nothing is their fault. Every job they lose was because of some elaborate plot or because they are just "above" this or that....never because they sucked. They are always on the cusp of "the next big idea" because they like to ride the creative high.....unfortunately those things rarely come to fruition, which ,again, is because of someone else.
They say profound things and use praise to garner those strokes, and then when they have exhausted their novelty with a particular group....they reinvent themselves for a whole new group of people they can dazzle. These people rarely have a long tenure at any job because they can only fake it for so long.
In relationships, they are inherently selfish, and any giving they do must be SEEN so that others can know how wonderful they are. I think these people are probably the most vulnerable to an affair....and those most likely to deny it.
The main reason I get that is because, sadly, BTDT.....and I can usually see it a mile away, which can be a blessing and a curse.
