2Long did NOT hug me. eek But, he did show me a really neat helicopter. Acey please tell Married for 30 Years hello for me. It has been a long time since I have posted here but 2Long mentioned that he posted our running into one another at the meeting. So I thought I would log on and say Hi! to everyone.

The good news is that I remembered my log on name and password; meaning that the memory has not completely gone. The bad news is that I was at a scientific meeting with my daughter (she works on the same planets I do) and grandson, suggesting that I am getting old (almost finished with my 7th decade now).

I hope that all of my old friends are doing well.

Hey JL,

Not sure if you're still around but I passed your greeting on to Marriedfor30years and made her cry. She was so touched that you remembered her. She said she thought she might not have survived "those darkest days" without your help. Heck, many of us logged on to her thread to enjoy her descriptive writing style and ended up assisting her, too. Wish we could find Reprobate Mind as he was extremely helpful. Hopefully Married30 will check out MA sooner or later.

I'm late to the party too! JL! Good to see you! There's a lot of catching up to do. I'm "WALKING" a 1/2 marathon in the southern end of the state in less than 2 weeks! Hope to finish in less than 3.5 hours when they close up the end of the race.

Well this seems to be a good place to drop in and say Hi to everyone I might know! Last January I dropped in on MA thinking I would start reading and posting again only to have my year take off in so many different directions I didn't have time to come back.

After such a long absence it's hard to figure out where I might fit in, lol

Thanks Mark!

Your post made me laugh. We recently relocated further north and the accent up here is much more evident than in the southern part of the state.

Someone was reading this thread so I jumped to the end and discovered that Just Learning posted here nearly 2 years ago.

Hey 2L,

Have you run into JL at any other science functions? If so, tell him some of his seasoned (not "old") friends are doing well and we want to say "Hi!"

Hi ST! yahoo

It's been 50 weeks since you posted on this thread so I thought I'd bump it to greet you again.

Did you see that LovingAnyway posted a fly by and then drive by message this week?

Hope all's well.

If anyone has been in touch with any MB or MA 'oldtimers' it would be fun to catch up here without threadjacking someone's blog like we did on Hold's this week.

That's what a Reunion Thread is for anyway. grin

Hi Ace,

It's been good to see a little of LA around elsewhere. Certainly one of my heroes.

It's Looking4 that I'd love to hear from properly and another person but I can't remember her flippin' screen name.

When I came to post that article I was pleased to see that you've been about Ace. I should maybe come and post a little update - I think I last did 6 months ago.

Yes, please do post an update.

Ace

ETA: Does anyone have contact info for a poster on MB who called himself "Reprobate Mind?" He was so funny and he really helped Marriedfor30years on her situation.

Mimi was and is the original Goddess ~ circa mid-2000s on MB who encouraged all of us to look and feel our best at all times. She posted on MA very briefly in 2010, the year we began but has moved on successfully with her life and marriage. I haven't spoken with her since 2008 but maybe others have. I think of her often, especially when I leave the house wearing sweats and no make-up, which she discouraged on a regular basis.

Has anyone else heard from Mimi? Maybe Not (aka Not-to-fun) has.

Sorry this is a drive-by post. Hope to be back more regularly in April.

Ace

I haven't heard from Mimi. That doesn't mean we can't have other Goddesses. We're not married to monotheism. grin grin grin

What's wrong with Goddess Ace?
