Hi Miranda,

Hope you're still able to work. I am, too, but mandated to stay at home because I'm old. foggy

The amazing thing is that IT equipped my work desktop with net-motion and VPN and I got to take it home!

How's everyone else doing?

It doesn’t get much more essential than medical laboratory science. I’ll be working for the duration. Harder and longer as the days go on.

I envy folks who can work from home a little bit.

Hi Ace and Miranda smile

Glad to see that you're both well.

Miranda, what a blessing you are to us! Thank you for all that you have done that brought you to this point and for all that you will do because of it. smile

Ace, I hear ya about the old thing. Before we were required to stay home, my grandson got sick (thankfully it was the flu!) on the day that he was scheduled to spend the night at my house. He called me to tell me that he wouldn't be coming because I'm old and he was protecting me. lol

Stay safe and be well.

Hey ELLE DUB,

So glad to hear from you. Not sure if I still have your number but I might give you a call sometime.

Thanks for all your hard work and commitment, Miranda. We owe all our medical workers on the front lines and in the back labs huge {{{{virtual hugs}}}} and gold stars. yflag (Couldn't find gold stars so a gold flag will have to do.)

Keep up the great work.

Ace

Yes, thanks to all who are keeping the rest of us safe and tended. Medical. Public safety. Logistics. Food production and delivery. All the things those of us living and working from home depend on.

Solutions? There are none. There are decisions.

Hi Hold!!!!

You're such a blessing around here. I am so glad you posted on Camper's thread and on my thread. I need another post to get to 3350 (my weird OCD to post in increments of 5 is a strange motivation, I know). So your post on my thread fits the bill....for now.

I'm working from home but thought I'd tell you thanks.

I heard a topic on the radio yesterday that didn't trigger me in pain but it sorta flashed back my feelings of sadness: "Many couples are filing for divorce in other countries where they have been locked down at home and divorce lawyers are expecting it here, too. Why? The forced closeness is revealing addictions to affairs so that spouses are now finding out.....and many will file for divorce."

I took my sadness to MA and saw where Camper had had another D-Day and decided to post. <sigh>

Thanks for your post on her thread, too. I totally agree with you in that she has to decide what's best for HER. But before I stayed, I had to know that I had done EVERYTHING possible to make it work so I would not regret dumping WH.

Gotta run but again, thanks.
Ace

That’s what I needed to know, too, Ace. I knew that it would be the only way that I would be able to truly move on in the event of divorce. Even after more than a decade, I still experience waves of gratitude at times for both giving it everything that I could and for the divorce itself.

I believe that in addition to affair addiction being revealed and many divorces being filed that there will also be many marriages saved during this time. Things like an AP pushing for meetups that would increase the risk of COVID-19 to their AP’s family instead of adhering to social distancing guidelines might be the thing to jolt a person enough that they start noticing other things related to the affair that are harmful to the family, too.

In the early days of the pandemic it was said that in about nine months from now we will be seeing lots of divorce and lots of babies.

On a lighter note while ice arenas are currently being considered for storing bodies, I saw a meme early on that I thought was a pretty good joke. It said that half of us would become better cooks and half of us would develop drinking problems. Thank goodness for my new-ish air fryer because I am well stocked on beer, wine and liquor. 😷🤣

Be well everyone.

Hi Ell Dub,

Sorry I haven't been around much and didn't reply to your post on my thread sooner.

I'm hoping to check in more often.

Hope all's well.

Ace

Going well enough here, Ace. Hope the same for your end.

I have become a much better cook. Still not great but almost everything has been edible... and some has been fantastic!

What about you?

Hi LW,

You must be one of the members online marked "invisible" since it appears you submitted your post recently.

Glad your cooking is improving. We got an air fryer and nearly everything it produces is great! The best part is that the cooking container and bottom platform are dishwasher safe and they both fit, barely, on our top rack.

Check out the Cook-out thread Mark started nearly 10 years ago and I recently bumped. If I remembered how to do a link, I'd link it here. I should mention our air-fryer on that thread. Goooood Iddeeeeea!

I’ll see if I can fix the invisible thing.

I don’t have a dishwasher so size isn’t an issue for me, lol. I have an Instant Pot and then got the air fryer lid that goes with it. It’s great for one or two people but would be too small to air fry for a whole family.

I made tortilla chips yesterday to go with salsa. Was super easy... spritz a bit of olive oil and spread with a brush, pile them up and cut into wedges. Salt and use seasoning however you want (I forgot for the first batch). Air fry at 350 for about 6 minutes, turning halfway through.

But the salsa had gone bad even though the best by date hadn’t gone by yet. Grrrrrr lol

Hi LW,

Sorry I missed your reply. Not sure if you're still invisible.

Did you ever find out what thread you promised to post recipes? It may have been the one I posted about how to avoid emotional eating. I think the new title has reference to dealing with the "Quarantine Fifteen" weight gain issues.

I can't remember how to link threads. Sorry.

Ace
