No idea what it means, but it didn't activate my virus/malware protection warning, just Safe Google Browsing, whatever that is.

ME TOO - arghh

I finally figured out how to by pass this by clicking on details and then "bypass this warning"

Hey you guys, I have had this happen to me on and off for the past two years.
Always on my mobile, never from a computer or laptop.

I finally figured out it must have something to do with the browser on my mobile phone.
The solution was/is to re-boot my phone (a soft re-set) and it would work again properly.

Good luck!

I am NOT receiving any malware warnings, either on my mobile or from my computers (both Macs).

Could that be a Microsoft (PC) thing?

I too have been getting the malware warnings, on Chrome and my phone, for a week. First time for me.

Just an update.

We are working on trying to resolve this. I can tell you that so far nothing has been found in the way of malicious code or other threats but we are still checking. It's a tedious and time consuming process.

We'll keep you informed as soon as we find out more. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

Is anyone working on this? It's really annoying. I can't use my chrome book or phone. I imagine that this would be driving off posters and new traffic. It can't be helpful to be warned that the site has malware.

Best

Edit: I just saw Mark's post... got it.

Unfortunately the solution to this is not instant pudding.

We have found no malicious links, code or embedded software that doesn't belong on the site. Getting the site removed from the bad list is a bit more complicated.

Currently, Google says we have a problem. That means that Chrome has the warning. Because Firefox relies on Google for information about sites, that browser also has the warning. I understand that Safari is also putting up flags.

I don't get any warning from IE, Edge, or Opera. I also don't get a flag when using my Samsung browser on my phone.

I use Norton real time safe browsing on my desktop and don't get anything but a green flag and assurance that the site is secure and safe. Both Firefox and Chrome allow going to the articles and the forum list without a flag.

You can bypass the warning, even on chrome but we will continue to try to get it resolved.

Hi Lil! Nice to see you. smile

As long as the failure wasn't caused by coming here, lol. I'm watching closely to see if I have any coincidences. So far, not this time. Yay!

I'll look for an update thread. Would love to know how you're all doing.

Someone was reading this today so I clicked on it because of the intriguing title. Hi LW!

Over the years, I wondered when the infamous "Malware Banner" issues began. Looks like this is one of the original threads where it was mentioned.

I bypassed it by using the shortcut to the forums I had posted before. It's too bad it affected so many former posters from summer 2017 until now.

So much has happened.....2017 seems like the 'good-ol'-days.'

Actually, Ace, the 2017 problem was with Google that lasted 6 months.. As I recall, it was a Google mistake, but it was hard to get them to give us the time of day. very_angry AR got that resolved, but it was a fight.

Unfortunately, the certificate nightmare was a bigger challenge, and it’s good to see some old friends posting again. Thanks to those members who’ve posted to say they’re looking forward to helping newly betrayeds walk the path to recovery.
May those in need find us.

Thanks, RHW. I was such a sporadic poster, I didn't keep up with all the comings and goings of the major and minor issues with the site during those years. Plus when my H nearly died in 2018-2019 I barely logged in for those 6 months.

I do hope we'll be able to re-grow our base....slowly but surely. It's so fun to see what Lil has bumped in the middle of our night.

Again, thanks for all you do. Looking forward to seeing you....hopefully....when we trek to Florida in November.

Hugz,
Ace

Ace I wouldn’t have imagined last year that we’d all be vaccinated and I’d get to see you this year. Awesome!
