I only get this message when I try to visit the MA website.

Yep, I get the same message.

AR assures me this is NOT a security risk. We are simply working to get our certificate renewed, which assures the world that we are who we say we are. It usually goes smoothly.

It might indeed be scaring people off. Not sure where AR Is on this. I know she’s been busy with baby. Will catch up with her this weekend. She’s the only one on the Board who can help. Gladstone has already tried.

I would like to say that I have had two women confronted with marriage problems on the homeschool board I am on. One is brand new...just discovered her husband’s affair last night. In neither case have I recommended MA because of our issues which. Are it look like an unsafe site.

The homeschool board is enormous. Many people could be directed here for help.

SW, I’m sorry you didn’t feel comfortable referring friends to MA. I will reiterate what AntigoneRisen said about the issue (as we continue to search for a solution):

The certificate was bought and paid for, but not applied properly. The site is SAFE, just as it was when Google (for God only know what reason) put that awful red banner across the top of our page. Remember that? There was actually nothing insecure then, either. No one got “hacked” or harmed in any way, but it took forever to work it out. Maddening, as is this current problem.

We’re working a new avenue, now that the holidays are over. It seems like it should be an easy fix, but if AR had trouble, it’s obviously not. I ask you to hang in there as we continue working to resolve it.

Anything new on this security issue? In the meantime, thanks for having the site open for those of us so inclined to take the "risk" of posting. I'm usually paranoid, suspicious and I worry too much but I'm trying to be more adventurous. This online venting option is helpful for me.
